Moffatt Township Park (formerly Alger Park) is located at 1611 Henry St in Alger (between Newberry and Maple Ridge Rds), and is open to thru traffic from May 1 until October 31, each year.
The Moffatt Township hall is permanently closed and no longer available for rentals. We apologize for the inconvenience. Voting and meetings are now held at the Moffatt Twp Fire Hall located at 1590 M-76, south of Maple Ridge Rd in Alger, MI.

Thanks to generous grants provided by the Saganing Chippewa Indian Tribe and the Bay Area Community Foundation, Moffatt Township (in conjunction with Alger Parks and Rec), completed construction of a septic field in Moffatt Twp Park, along with a bathroom remodeling project that replaced the current toilets with flushable ones, sinks, mirrors, updated lighting, and new doors.
2025 – We are proud to announce that we were part of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s Annual 2% Distribution and were awarded grant money in the amount of $25,900 for completion of the new township hall kitchen, scheduled for finalization (along with the rest of the building project), January 2025.
