NEW – We are pleased to announce that along with performing property searches, you can now pay your taxes using BS&A’s online services, directly via our website. We hope you find this feature helpful.

Property Search and Online Tax Payments

If paying by mail, please send your check and bottom bar code portion of the tax bill. The top portion of the tax bill and your canceled check is your receipt. Thanks! Please direct any questions you have to Kevin at 989-836-6873.  DO NOT mail your checks to the clerk’s office!

Winter property taxes will be mailed on December 1, 2024. *Winter property taxes, as well as personal property are due by February 28, 2025, without penalty fees. After February 28, 2025, interest will be calculated and compounded on a monthly basis and will incur a 1% interest charge per month.
**All unpaid property taxes as of March 1, 2025, will immediately be turned over to Arenac County as delinquent for collections without exception. It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to direct the tax bill to their lender escrow company or bank.

*February 28, 2025, is the last day to pay taxes at Moffatt Twp.

Lobby Drop Box is open 24/7 for payments. The Treasurer’s office will mail you a receipt. Please note: The township supervisor’s office DOES NOT have access to property tax information for individual property owners or parcels.

Combining or Splitting Parcels, please complete (1) L-4035 for EACH parcel you wish to combine and be sure to include said parcel number (view sample here). You will also need to complete an ADDITIONAL 4035, with all the pertinent information, but this time leave the parcel # box, EMPTY. A NEW number will be assigned for your combined parcels.

For example, if you wish to combine (4) parcels, you will need to complete (5) L-4035’s. You will also have to complete (1) REQUEST TO SPLIT OR COMBINE PARCELS form, along with (1) PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE EXEMPTION FORM (PRE). For questions, please contact our assessor, Toni Brusch.
